Electric Locking For Security Control

Automatic door operator shall be Horizon HD3 unit, compliant with standards NZS: 4239, powered by a D C motor through a toothed timing belt for silent operation. Control to be in the form of a multifunction microprocessor.

Activation

  1. By directional microwave sensors for two way traffic. Sensors will only activate for a person approaching the doors. Only directional sensors are acceptable to ensure the efficient operation of the entrance.

  2. By twin eyed safety beam across opening. Beam heights shall be 100mm and 700mm above F.F.L..

Locking

Shall be by a Horizon magnetic shearlock fitted within the operator. The mag lock will be complete with an 8 hour battery backup in case of power failure.

The lock shall be controlled by a five-position illuminated modepad. Positions as follows.

  1. Auto - For normal day use. Doors operate automatically for two-way traffic.

  2. Exit Only - Doors will lock. Doors will open for traffic exiting the premises. External sensor will switch off not allowing entry.

  3. Lock - Doors will be locked. External and internal sensors will not operate door.

  4. Hold Open - Doors will remain in fully open position.

  5. Half Open - Reduce door width in cold or windy conditions

Emergency Egress

Emergency breakglass switch to be provided by Security Contractor.

First Person Entry

Provision for first person entry by Security Contractor.

Failsafe

A battery failsafe will open the doors automatically in the event of a power failure while doors are in the 'Auto' mode. The failsafe battery will drive the doors open in the 'Exit Only and Lock' mode upon pressing the emergency push button.

Security Control

Provide a Horizon standard security interface board with blue terminal blocks with voltage free contacts for security to supply normally closed signal to either open or lock the door. To monitor the door closed (via bond sensor) and door locked position (via reed switch), both connections are voltage free and connecting to these are by the security contractor.
