A minimum pitch of 25°is required for fixing natural roofing slate.
Man Made Slates
United Kingdom: Sandtoft Britlock - single lap reconstituted slate files heat pressed with 80% natural crushed slate with resin binders - used where pitch or weight factors inhibit the use of natural slate. Single lap fixing with integral rain channels gives a roof loading under 20 kg per m2.
Plain Clay Roofing Tiles
United Kingdom: Traditional English tile roofing with 60 tiles per m2 - available in a choice of finishes with both new and reclaimed tiles available.
